Ms Camilla Carroll is a Consultant Otolaryngologist Head and Neck Surgeon at the Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital Dublin Ireland and an elected member of the RCSI Council since 2016. Ms Carroll is a surgical educator and postgraduate assessor, in the Court of Examiners RCSI and the European Boards for Otolaryngology. In 2017, she was appointed as the National Clinical Lead for ENT Education in Primary Care. Ms Carroll graduated from the RCSI Medical School with an honours degree in 1985 and completed surgical and fellowship training in Ireland, the UK and Canada.
Ms Carroll is committed to the advancement of surgery through science and holds an MD from UCD following scientific research in tissue transfer angiogenesis and neovascularisation, carried out in the Department of Surgery at the University of Louisiville, Kentucky. Ms Carroll’s current research focus is in the area of clinician education, skills transfer and assessment and was awarded a Masters degree in Surgical Education from imperial College London in 2019.
