We were really excited to get shortlisted but it’s just fantastic to have won. A lot of work went into it so it’s nice to get recognition for what we’ve done
It’s a lovely evening. It’s a privilege to be among all the nomination and it makes you proud to be a part of this profession
It’s a fantastic evening. Two awards – so we are very happy. Thank you very much
It’s a great demonstration of the innovation that’s happening out there in Irish healthcare
DotMD were delighted to receive an award for healthcare educational event of the year for 2016. The award has worked to raise the profile of the event nationally and will undoubtedly increase demand for future meetings. It's a great honour and pat and the back to all involved. The Irish Healthcare Awards are a unique opportunity to celebrate the best of Irish medicine. We would encourage all those interested in entering their work for an award
It’s a privilege to be involved, it’s a great event
At a time when success is not sufficiently celebrated, the Irish Healthcare Awards show the health service is delivering. The Awards have shown that the changes digital is making to health are being recognised. Health is a difficult place to work. The Irish Healthcare Awards give teams a chance to get recognition. We need to celebrate successful things.
Great location, great night, plenty of really good awards to be won
Being shortlisted for an award was great for the HSE’s National Doctors Training and Planning (NDTP) unit – but winning it was fantastic. It was an endorsement of all the hard work that was undertaken by the project teams.
It’s a great honour, I didn’t think I would win so I am thrilled, thank you
Winning the Award for 2016 has been fantastic. It acknowledges the tremendous efforts that my colleagues within the Saolta Group have invested in this project to review change and implement new services for women with diabetes before, during and after pregnancy. The Award also acknowledges the commitment of the Saolta CEO and management team to this service.
I hope the acknowledgement of the Irish Healthcare Award will enable me to attract new research funds to allow us to ask and find answers to questions that will improve outcomes even further.
We were delighted to win the Best Educational Project of the Year in 2016. The acknowledgement of the judging panel and our fellow colleagues in the wider Irish health service was very much appreciated by the members of the Medical Corps and the Defence Forces. We hope that the recognition will inspire our own medics to continue to implement similar health-related educational projects internationally, and more importantly to encourage doctors in Ireland to consider a very worthwhile career as a medical officer in the Defence Forces.
I would highly recommend to any clinician that is involved in healthcare service delivery to strongly consider entering the Irish Healthcare Awards. The winning entries are chosen by an independent panel of expert judges. Therefore, when your project has been nominated for an award, or won a category award, fellow professionals believe your innovation is worthy of special recognition. Most importantly, for the patient that means better care. After a project has won a major award, such recognition assists clinicians in maintaining high quality healthcare, through improving the public perception of the work that we do. This improves staff morale and in turn attracts good quality staff, who want to work on the team.
It gives a certain recognition, that’s really important
We were honoured to win the Nursing Project award at the Irish Healthcare Awards. It not only helped to drive awareness of our new Mi Kidney app, it also gave the Renal Team at St James’s Hospital the personal recognition that we developed a product that can make a real difference to our patients.
