Innovation in Primary Care Award
General Practice and Primary Care are fundamental to patient care in Ireland, and a growing part of the total healthcare package. Keeping people out of hospital and treating them in their own area is increasingly valuable, both in terms of reducing costs and increasing patient satisfaction.
All across Ireland, individual practices are doing outstanding work with the resources they have and this year, the Irish Healthcare Awards want to reward this area of medicine, drive innovation, and promote change within the sector by offering a unique prize within the area of General Practice.
The Primary Care Innovation of the Year Award is a truly special accolade designed to celebrate and promote innovations, projects, or practices that improves patient care in a Primary Care setting.
When you win this award not only do you receive a signature plaque, but the winning entry will be taken on board by the Irish Medical Times as policy. This means that we will support the idea across our print and online channels with the hope of encouraging the HSE, the Department of Health and the government in general to adopt and implement it nationwide.
You will be using your victory to highlight the difference your innovation makes to patient welfare which will have benefits not just for the patients in your practice, but right across the country.
